Bathroom Mini Makeover

As I mentioned in my last pregnancy update, the nesting instinct has really kicked in, so all those small, "we'll-get-around-to-it" projects have suddenly turned into "we-must-get-this-done-now" projects.  One of those is our hall bathroom.  When we got married, we bought a really pretty green shower curtain for our bathroom.  It looked really nice with our dark brown accessories.  When we moved into our new house over the summer, I knew the shower curtain was going to have to go.  There is green tile on the floor and half way up the walls.  Add a green shower curtain to the mix and it did not work at all.  Ripping up tile at this point is not an option for us.  So when I simply couldn't take it anymore, I headed to Target for a bathroom mini makeover.

Before:
Green walls, green floor, green shower curtain...

Nothing really on the walls
After:
New candle and shower curtain. Hung up a painting.

New shower curtain and towels

The plan is to also replace the light, the medicine cabinet, and paint the ceiling teal to match the teal in the curtain. I really don't much mind the tile now that not everything is so green in there! Eventually, yes it will come down, but at least until then I have something I'm happy with!

  3. That's the way we do it. We made over our guest bath "half way" and made a tremendous difference! Good job.

  4. Isn't it funny how changing something as simple as the shower curtain changes the total look of the bathroom. Green is my favorite color, so you know I like this!

  21. You're on your way to a wonderful makeover, Rebekah! Even if you don't have enough budget and time for a major bathroom makeover, just by rearranging or incorporating a touch of other colors can make a big change. Be bold. You'll see how it can greatly affect the look of your bathroom.
