Picture Frame

Again, I originally saw something like this on Pinterest.  I have gotten absolutely addicted to making things with toilet paper rolls.  This is one of my favorites so far.  I started with a whole bunch of empty paper roll tubes.  I cut them into thin strips.  To make the actual picture frame part, I hot glued wooden dowels to the backs of the frames (not over the part where the picture goes).  Then I started by making the star flower shape in the middle and added swirls and loops until I figured out a design I liked. When it was all glued together, I spray painted it dark red to match my living room. It took several hours total, but I really had fun, and I think it ended up looking pretty nice! If you have any questions about it, please leave a comment, and I'll do my best to answer them!

This isn't the same color that I used, but it's the same brand. Make sure whatever paint you get will work for plastic (if your frames are plastic like mine). Have fun!

  8. IMKLVR- The dowels are glued to the tops and bottoms and outsides of the frames. The first paper piece I made was the flower shape in the middle. I glued the pieces together, then glued them to the dowels.

The next area I did was the inside of the cross shape (above and below the flower). I glued the rolled pieces to the frames, then filled in the space between the frames with an oval.

Next is the left and right of the flower. I made the pieces next to the flower first, and then glued them to the top and bottom sides of the frames. Then I added the rolls (glued to the frames) and ovals (glued the the rolls) to the other side of those shapes.

The last part was the rolls along the outer edges of the frames. Those are glued to the frames and the wooden dowels.

    I hope that helps!

Marie- Thanks and same to you!!
